Student Life: Supporting Every Learner

INTAC Student Life (ISL) plays a vital role in shaping the heartbeat of our school. This dedicated body supports every aspect of our learners’ experience, academics, discipline, events, outreach, activities, database management, and even daily essentials like lost and found. ISL ensures that every moment at INTAC is organized, meaningful, and aligned with our mission of cultivating excellence in faith and education. Through their commitment, collaboration, and leadership, they help create a safe, vibrant, and engaging environment where every learner can grow, thrive, and feel supported every single day.

Academics Department

Shadow Teachers
Making sure classes are running smoothly. They can teach their
peers. Teachers will provide them with lesson plans and pacing
charts. They will be trained to teach and offer substitute
teachers what they need.

Academic Mentors
Helping learners set their academic goals, acting as a positive role model
models, checking learners’ progress, intervention to support and
provide resources.

Academic Projects
Running special and specific projects, such as Study Camps during holidays or weekends.

Extra Classes
After-school classes for learners who need support, and classes to repeat concepts when needed.

Peer Tutoring
Learners who need ‘one-on-one’ tutoring.

 

Discipline Department

Class Discipline
Assigning the following prefects for each class in the School:

  • Class Prefect
  • White Board Prefect
  • Pin Board Prefect
  • Dismissal Prefect (Class Prefect Assistant)
  • Anti-Littering Prefect (Class Prefect Assistant)

Indoors Discipline
Assign Indoor Prefects for corridors and set a duty chart.

Outdoors Discipline
Divide the school into Zones and Assign Teams.

Administration Area
Assign Admin Area Prefects and set a duty chart.

Anti-Bullying Team
Assign Teams of prefects to handle and report any bullying case
in school – run awareness campaigns (posters, videos, etc.)
against Bullying – organize workshops about bullying.

Anti-Littering Team Projects

Anti-Cheating TEAM Assigning Teams to report and handle cheating (exams – copying
homework, etc.) – run awareness campaigns against cheating.

Anti-Addiction Team
Assigning Teams to report and handle addiction to digital
devices/ games, etc. Run awareness campaigns and organize
seminars about the harm of addiction.

Office Management Department

Data Management
Managing and controlling data – information, reports, emails, etc.

Archive & Documenting
Keeps record of photos, documents, student newsletters, charts, etc.

Outreach Department

Ambassadors Team
In charge of welcoming parents, visitors, and school tours.

Event Ushers Team
Helping out event organizers with any particular event in Student Services

Bright & Delight Team
In charge of welcoming and shadowing New Learners in our school, making them familiar with the system and facilities.

Life Vest Team
In charge of giving support, being kind to learners suffering from
different types of social challenges, for example: death in the family,
parents going through a divorce, absence of parent(s) due to
sickness, etc.

Media Department

Student Newsletter Team
A monthly digital magazine to cover all the events and activities of
the ISL. The digital magazine will target learners (events,
interviews, updates, reports, etc.).

Year Book Team
The yearbook will cover the whole year of ISL achievements, plus class photos, a seniors section which will include the profile of each graduate, as well as their Tree Planting Ceremony.

Photographers
Responsible for hiring photographers with good skills and equipment for all events.

Event Speakers
Assigning and training prefects to be in charge of public speaking for all events in school.

Human Resources Department

Recruitment Team
Recruit Prefects for all departments of ISL to close open vacancies with learners seeking employment.

Database Team
Works on recording hours of all Prefects to ensure every prefect gets the number of hours served,(community service hours), training, and encourages our prefects to check the school website parent to ensure the hours are entered by the end of each week.

Training Team
In charge of training our ISL Prefects and developing their abilities to help ensure the smooth running of all departments and divisions within ISL.

Workshop Organizers
In charge of organizing workshops, responsible for organizing seminars on any topic that is considered to be of interest to our community.

Catering Department

Healthy Food
Assigning prefects to run awareness campaigns about healthy food as well as hygiene.

Discipline Prefects
Controlling the discipline in the cafeteria at all times.

Quality Assurance Team
Checking and reporting on the following aspects in the cafeteria:

  • Cleanliness: (Toilets, tables, floor, etc.)
  • Food quality and display

Decoration Team
Decorating and updating the pin boards inside the cafeteria.

Activities Department

Clubs
Create new clubs and make sure that they operate properly. Example: Photography, poetry, drama, chess, etc.

Trips
Organizing all types of trips: educational, cultural, as well as non-educational (entertainment)

Events
Organizing all types of events in school, such as International Day, Music show, etc., ensuring that we also keep the parents informed of all such events.

Sports Department

Fitness
In charge of organizing after-school fitness classes and activities to promote a healthy lifestyle and give tips to our learners as well as staff members to stay healthy

Sport Tournaments
In charge of organizing tournaments for different age groups during breaks (soccer, basketball, volleyball, etc.)

Sport Equipment Station
In charge of lending sports equipment during breaks

Graduates & Alumni Department

Graduates Committee
Assist ISL in ordering the caps and gowns, and create the graduates’ profiles (for Year Book) and organize the seniors’ events (seniors dinner, tree planting)

Bridging and Bonding
In charge of building up a strong channel of communication with our graduates/Alumni on LinkedIn, an effective tool used to keep track of our graduates in the future.

Lost & Founds Department

Labeling Team
Labeling the garments and other belongings of learners, to help return in case if and when the lost items are found. Running awareness campaigns about the importance of labeling.

Station Team
Display all unlabeled found items in the lost and found, and organize in categories.

Delivery Team
Taking all lost items to the L&F station. If labeled, the delivery team will immediately return these items to learners.

Crisis Management Department

Evacuation Team
Adhering to clear evacuation plans, hiring Prefects and training them to execute the plans in case of an emergency.

Fire Drill Team
In charge of following fire drill procedures and other safety plans in place.

Safety & Maintenance Department

School Facilities
In charge of checking the school facilities and reporting any safety issues to the maintenance department (Mr. Safet).

Sports Facilities & Equipment
In charge of checking the school’s sports facilities and reporting any safety issues to the maintenance department (Mr. Safet) in coordination with Mrs. Vinan.

Security Department

School Watch Team
In charge of security challenges on the school campus.

Transportation Department

Transportation Team
Help ensure that the transportation of students is safe, organized, and punctual, assigning Prefects in each bus to take care of discipline and ensuring safety measures, including assigned seating plans are followed. Prefects in this department will help ensure learners are not late in joining their buses in the afternoon.

Social Responsibility Department

Local Community Service
Supporting the local community by organizing events

Global Community Service
Raising awareness of important topics such as ‘fighting poverty’, global warming, ‘power of education’, etc.

Environment Department

Go Green’s Initiatives
In charge of organizing and participating in any event that is related to the environment.

Awareness Campaigns
In charge of running awareness campaigns on topics related to the environment and recycling Projects.
